Louann started her cosmetology career over 20 years ago in Louisville KY, by attending Roy’s of Louisville Hair Academy. With a boom in the field of Esthetics in the 1980’s, she quickly became aware her interest and talents were within skin care. Louann specializes in acne and anti aging treatments. Her goal is to simplify your skin care routine into a regimen that works into your daily life. Louann utilizes Microdermabrasion, Glycolic, Salicylic and natural enzymes to balance the surface of the skin. These treatments can be used alone or in a combination to achieve desired results. David A. Darbro, M.D. our medical director practiced 40 years on the “front lines.” The first 15 years of his career were spent as a specialist in family medicine. The following 25 years he devoted to practicing what he calls wellness medicine—that emerging paradigm of medicine devoted to finding and then treating the cause(s) of health problems rather than just treating symptoms. Dr. Darbro’s life changed dramatically after a sudden and unexpected stroke in July of 2004. It became increasingly more difficult to continue the practice of medicine and he retired in November of 2005. Since then Dr. Darbro has become an advocate of Adult Stem Cell and stem cell nutrition therapy. Dr. Darbro has experienced remarkable improvement with mild hyperbaric oxygen treatments coupled with the use of natural non-interventive means to increase circulating Adult Stem Cell levels. We are both pleased and honored that he shares his wisdom and guidance with Oxyspa.

Mark is the father of one of our clients and has personally assisted her in over 375 chamber sessions since March 2005. Mark has personally experienced the therapeutic effects of mild hyperbaric oxygen therapy (mHBOT) when he nearly lost his thumb in a severe crush injury accident in 2005 and since has regained full use of the digit. Mark has experienced both mHBOT and HBOT at greater pressures including 1.7 ATA with 100% oxygen. Mark’s interest in mHBOT prompted to him to change careers from public safety and pursue an education in the field of Hyperbarics. Mark is near completion of a Bachelors of Science degree from Indiana University. In addition, Mark will be attending a nationally recognized HBOT program in January 2008. Mark intends to pursue his license as a Certified Hyperbarc Technician. Mark has personal and professional experience with people with special needs and valued member of our staff.

With a background in physical therapy, Teresa has been performing CranioSacral Therapy for adults as well as children for eleven years. Teresa received her CST education through the Upledger Institute in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and is currently working towards certification.
